Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by means of an accelerated jet of hot plasma. Typical materials cut with a plasma torch include steel, aluminum, brass and copper, although other conductive metals may be cut as well.
MicroStep PLS is a high-precision CNC cutting machine with outstanding dynamic properties and modern design, developed especially for high precision plasma cutting. The excellent dynamics are achieved thanks to the low-seated, double-side driven gantry, high-precision linear guidelines and a drive system with helical racks and pre-stressed pinions in all axes.
It is possible to perform 3D cutting and champfer removal. Machine is equipped with a rotation mechanism for cutting in angle. It is possible to make champfers from both sides, which greatly improves further processing. Rotation mechanism makes it possible to make bevel cuts and cylindrical cutting at an angle, what may be necessary to join pipes and parts at an angle.
